This is Addy. She decided to "egg" yards in Prosper to raise money for Prosper Life Primary School in Ghana, and this is her story...
"When I first heard about Kids Prosper Kids, I knew I had to do something. I have dyslexia but didn’t know it until I came to Cockrell, so I know how the right school has changed my life. My heart was broken by the idea that some kids don't have access to a good education. All kids should have access to quality learning, especially if it helps keep them safe, and this makes me determined to make a difference.
My family had an idea to hide Easter eggs in our neighbors’ yards the night before Easter as a way to raise money for KPK, and our goal was just 30 yards and $300. The next thing we knew, we had over 260 yards to egg and more than 10,000 eggs to stuff, raising over $5,000!! I can’t wait to visit the school in Ghana and see what a difference that $5,000 made!”
